Bridal Portraits

There is nothing like a bride getting ready for her wedding day. I have three of my best friends going through that right now and I could not be happier for them!!! The flowers, the music, the bridesmaid dresses, the cake, the DRESS….This got me thinking about my wedding and so I decided to go look up my photographers who did my bridal portraits. Ah, it was so much fun and I loved working with Austin and Ashley Green over at Windy Peak!!…They work in the Raleigh/Cary area and are amazing!!! If you need photos for anything, check them out!!! Sun Dried Tomato and Feta Quinoa

I came across this recipe on diethood.com and loved it! I changed a few things for my liking but over all it is very similar to her recipe!!! Hope you enjoy!!!! What you will need:: 1 1/2 cups quinoa 1 cup of water 1 1/2 cups chicken broth handful of chopped sun dried tomatoes, the dried ones (not in oil) 1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese 2 tablespoons fresh chopped basil 3 tablespoons lemon juice 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil Pinch of Pepper =&0=&

My Tips to Clear Your Skin Fast

So, we are celebrating my birthday this weekend and certain mother nature circumstances are making me break out…So instead of freaking out and making myself breakout worse…here are some of my tips I will LIVE BY this week to help them clear up by this weekend!!!! Who wants to have a breakout on their birthday?!?!?! =&0=& I will be drinking my detox drink every single day this week!!! Clearing my skin from the inside out! =&1=&..and then shower immediately or very soon after. Letting that sweat sit on your skin does NOTHING for your pores! =&2=&. Sleeping on fresh pillow cases will keep from bacteria build up!

Exfoliate. Tone. Moisturize..yes, even if you have oily skin (like I do) you still need to moisturize!


Sleep. Get atleast 8 hours of sleep a night! Your body heals itself while it sleeps!

Pregnancy

I recently got 2 emails asking about what I looked like when I was pregnant, how much weight I gained, what I did to make myself feel good, and what maternity clothes I wore. Well…I am going to answer some of those questions….but the main thing I want you to remember, and the reason I feel like I got these emails is because pregnancy is a very vulnerable time period. You have to eat right,even if you feel like crap. Stay active, even if your exhausted, but not too active. Get everything perfect for your little bundle of joy to arrive. Go to countless doctors appointments for them to tell you how much weight you have gained, and trying to remind yourself it is a great thing you are gaining weight!
