Family Destin Weekend Guide | Lipstick Heels and a Baby

You guys know I love to let you know any and every place I discover and love in the area. We spent some time in Destin this past weekend and to be honest, we haven’t been into Destin in months! We only live about 20 minutes away, but during the summer with the traffic we don’t venture over very often – but I am so glad we got the opportunity to do so this weekend!

Where to Stay

Whether you have multiple kids and need extra space or you are staying with grandparents, cousins, another family or even just another couple – we were thrilled with our choice to stay at Destin Gulfgate. Every single condo has a 30 foot private gulf front view. The condos have full kitchens, washer and dryers, and sleeps 6-8 people very comfortably, but to be honest – the one we were in could have easily slept 7-10 people – especially if some of those are kids!

The full kitchen is a great feature for multiple reasons – one, we typically can’t get our lives together in time to get out the door to feed the kids breakfast, so I cooked eggs and bacon one morning and we made pancakes with the kids the next. This is also a great for families with small children or a way to save money if families wanted to make dinner at home at night instead of going out!

What to Do Nearby For Kids

I put Fudpuckers on both things to do as well as a place to eat! You can do both there and your kids will be fully entertained with the alligator photos/meet n’ greet, feeding the alligators, walking around to their different habitats and the playground right on property! Super convenient for families with younger kids!
