Neighbor or Friend Gift Idea

We were trying to think of something different to give to the neighbors. We normally bake cookies every year but this year we decided to try these!

Peppermint Hot Chocolate Mix

You will need::

Mini Chocolate Chips

Cocoa 

Marshmellows

1 tsp per jar Sugar

Instant Non Fat Dry Milk

Salt

Ground Peppermint Candies (We used a food processor to do this..it was VERY LOUD)

This is how the peppermint will look when your done, we got almost all of the chunks out so it will dissolve in drink easier.

We used a 1/4 Cup measuring Cup for each ingredient and very carefully layered them on top of each other without shaking the mix. Our order of layering was::

Powdered Milk

Cocoa

Salt (only 1 tsp!!!!!)

Sugar

a few chocolate chips

Powdered Milk

Cocoa

Sugar

Chocolate Chips

Marshmellows

Ground Peppermint on top! 

My mom got large cloth napkins at Hobby Lobby and we cut them into squares to decorate the jars, which we also got at Hobby Lobby 1/2 off. They were only 1$ each!!!

We are sending them off with little tags that say::

Mix Contents in a large bowl.

Place 1/3 Cocoa Mix in Mug

Stir in 1 cup of hot water or warm milk.

Store remaining ingredients back in this airtight container!
