5 Tips to Keep Your Kids Healthy Going Back To School

in fay family on 20/07/18

Thank you The Relief Products for sponsoring this post. All opinions and text are 100% my own!

It is hard to believe that summer is almost over and in about 3 weeks we will be back to school mode! I am going to miss these long summer days and nights together as a family. But, I have to admit- it will be nice to have some time to go through the kids toys, our closets, etc and get the house back in order while they are in school! Unfortunately, along with back to school, comes – back to all the germs. Eak!! Charli still isn’t in school – and the boys both go to different schools, so I try really hard to keep them germ free once I pick them up! No reason to be spreading those germs into our household and other schools! So, check out below to see my 5 super simple tips once you get in the habit, they are in order of what we do as soon as I pick them up!

  1. Keep hands clean!!!! The moment the boys crawl into their carseat and booster seat. I spray them with hand sanitizer. These keeps them from spreading germs to Charli’s hands and each other.
  2. Change their clothes when they get home! Germs, and other strange things get on their clothes while they are at school. They get home and immediately take off their clothes and throw them in the washing machine. Sometimes they put on another outfit and other times – well, they think they are Captain Underpants.
  3. Wash their hands. Hand sanitizer is great – but not as effective as washing hands.
  4. There is one thing I can’t deal with spreading around my house, pink eye! If one gets it – they all get it! And it’s like it goes from one eye to two, and then I get it and have to throw out my makeup and it just becomes a whole thing! Ha! So – that being said we nip it in the bud real quick. To the point, that its gone before we even need to think about heading to the doctor! I keep three The Relief Products PinkEye Relief® in my medicine cabinet at all times! I put a B, W, C, on them so I do not have to share the bottles between the kiddos. The moment I see anyone getting it, drops immediately start going in and it is usually gone before it fully comes on. Near me – Walmart, Walgreens and Target all carry it, you can find who has it near you, here. Oh, and by the way -I use these because these drops are homeopathic – making them gentle and safe with no known side effects!
  5. My last tip is to wash their sheets every Friday! This keeps from all the germs that lingered on them throughout the week from carrying into the weekend. I also change their pillowcases ever other day – on hair washing days!

Do you have any tricks you do daily or weekly to keep your kids healthy? I would LOVE your ideas, especially if they are natural ways to do so!!! Leave them in the comments below so everyone else can read them as well!

I prefer the blog over insta otherwise it just feels like I’m scrolling past an advertisement! Keep it real! Thought you should know, not trying to criticize but give feedback that maybe helpful!

I agree with Holly, I wish your insta feed was less ad driven/planned posts and had a more natural feel to it. Just my opinion. I do enjoy the blog posts like this one, more real like applicable.
