Lipstick Heels and a Baby

Holiday Ready Hair To Toe

in Beauty on 14/12/18

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Pantene at Walmart. The opinions and text are all mine.

As soon as I get an invitation to a holiday party, I immediately start scouring the internet for the newest and most fun holiday appropriate outfits. Sometimes it’s a gorgeous cocktail dress, sometimes it is a pretty little top, jeans, and some high heels. I wore this outfit to a friend of ours’ Holiday cocktail hour at their home.

But, the reason for this post is not for the outfit – it is actually to give you my 9 best kept secrets I do before any holiday party or event.

48 hours before the event.

  1. Exfoliate my face. I typically do an at home dermaplaning service on myself using these razors. I then follow it with a detox mask like this one or this one.
  2. Shave. I like to shave a good 12-24 hours before getting a spray tan so my pores have time to close back up. This will keep you from getting those dark spots all over your skin.
  3. Moisturize. I sleep in a great overnight mask like this one or this one. It hydrates and closes pores to have a more even and flawless complexion.
  4. Hydrate. I start chugging water, pedialyte, collagen, and take vitamins. This helps promote hydrated, glowing, and healthy skin and hair.

24 hours before the event.

  1. Spray tan. This is a personal favorite for me, I know spray tans aren’t for everyone. I just happen to love them and feel more confident when I have one.
  2. Bleach my teeth. I do this before I have an event or before I travel.

Day of the event.

  1. Wash my hair. I love to wash my hair on days I have important things going on. My hair always has more bounce and shine when it’s clean. I recently decided to try out Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo & Conditioner after finding the large pump bottle holiday pack in Walmart. It is a $17 value and they had it priced at $9.88!! I mean, I had to try it! It is so moisturizing but light enough to keep your bounce and movement whether you wash your hair daily or twice a week! Oh, and bonus – it smells AMAZING!
  2. Face Mask. I typically use sheet masks days of events, while my hair is still up in a towel (keeps the mask off of your hair line) and my pores are opened from a warm shower. I like to use any mask that provides de-puffing or shrinks pores! I love this one tho!
  3. Get ready. That’s it! All your hard work the past 48 hours has you 110% holiday ready! Now, smile and have fun
