Lipstick Heels and a Baby

A Twist on Cocktail Hour

in fay home, Style on 22/02/16

Getting together with your girlfriends is not only fun but also so good for your soul. Female support is important to build each other up and the belly laughs don’t hurt either. I decided to get my girls together to have a little twist on our typical cocktail hour, so I had a tea party. Not just any tea party.
We were actually celebrating “Galentines Day” so cake and flowers were a must too! Everyone dressed up in their cutest pjs covered in candy hearts and kisses. We each picked our favorite flavors and mixers and caught up on kids, husbands, jobs, and of course the Bachelor. I love the type of conversation that always seems to come with warm tea, the light and refreshing flavors were also a perfect little glimpse of spring.
What you need for your Galentines Tea Party:
1. Lipton Tea ((Assortment of Flavors))
2. Sugar, honey, and champagne for mixing
3. Sweet treats
4. Fresh Flowers
5. Cute Mugs, stirrers, straws and decor.

Check out the full line-up of Lipton Green, Black and Herbal tea flavors here.

The multi-sensory teas refresh standard tea time, creating an exciting and unique tea-drinking experience. We have one girlfriend that is currently pregnant – there is always one right? Usually, it is me! – so she loved having all of the options of things to drink and a few of the girls who weren’t pregnant decided to add a little bubbles into their tea with champagne. By adding just a tablespoon or so it gives you that refreshing bubble feeling without loosing the flavor of the tea.

A tea party isn’t complete without desert so we enjoyed red velvet cake from the local bakery. Red velvet is one of my favorites and not to mention the red was perfect for Valentines Day.

So, on your girlfriends next birthday; Mother’s day with your mom, of even Galentines Day next year. Don’t forget to include Lipton Teas in your plans!
