Two things, first is I decided to do a Fall Favorites post because these types of beauty product posts are some of my favorites to read from blogs I follow so I figure I would share what some of my favorites are currently. Second, these types of posts are great ways for you guys to refer back to when you have questions about things that I am using.[...]
My obsession for pleats actually began with this dress. I didn’t realize how fun pleats actually were until I put this baby on and I felt so deprived I hadn’t worn pleats before this. Or, since I was much younger! The movement of a pleated dress or skirt can’t be beat! Even my velvet mustard pleated skirt from NYFW had the best movement!! Blush has always been and will always be one of my favorite colors. It is soft, neutral and so feminine! Between the blush and the pleats on this dress – it will be on repeat many more times to come![...]
NYFW Day two was NUTS, (in a good way) to say the least. I set my alarm for 7am and the moment my feet hit the ground they didn’t stop until about 10:30 that night when we got home from dinner. We started off the day with several showroom appointments and PR meetings. So, when I say a few – in the city that is a lot! It gives you about 45 min in each appointment and then hustling to get an uber or cab to make it to the next meeting, up way too many flights on an elevator (I am afraid of heights)! I feel like I spent half of my time in cabs and elevators that I was there – traffic always seems to be nuts during NYFW – or maybe thats just NYC?![...]
Thank you Kiehl’s for sponsoring this post. As always all opinions are 100% my own.
There are a lot of factors that go into great healthy skin; i.e. heredity, sun exposure, free radical and pollution exposure, stress levels and products we use to prevent and avoid these negative exposures and to increase the good parts we already love about our skin. I have to admit – my skin goes through waves on how it feels and looks. Hormones from pregnancy, stress from lack of sleep, and sun exposure from living on the beach, all play a HUGE roll in my skin appearance. That being said, I work with what I have been given and find the products I feel promote the good things about my skin that I want to keep, i.e. – lots of moisture and lack of wrinkles and also products that help correct the things I don’t love, my larger pores (from heredity) and dark spots from over sun exposure.[...]
Each year when I head to NYFW I wonder if I will still feel the same way I did my first year there. In awe. In awe of the hustle and bustle of the city. In awe of sitting in my seat before shows watching all of the other attendees, celebrities, and designers taking their seats. In awe of sitting in ubers and cabs and traffic watching everyone rush from one meeting to the next and in and out of office buildings. Every year, it never fails, I am always in awe. I like to take time to soak it all in, put my phone down and just watch it all happen. NYC is by no means a location I would be fit to live in – I am just not that fast pace or aggressive enough. But, it is absolutely one of my favorite places to visit every year.[...]
It is finally here! I know, I know – I am so sorry that it has taken me almost two months to get all of her details captured since she has been born and to get her nursery up on the blog but I hope it was worth the wait! Also, if you follow me on instagram and watch my insta stories, you probably have seen several sneak peeks of the room already![...]
Vacationing in the fall is one of my favorite times of the year to visit our favorite resorts and cities. The restaurants seem to not be as crowded. It’s not as miserably hot. And it’s a nice little break after the hustle and bustle of back to school chaos.[...]
Just because cooler weather is on the way, doesn’t mean you still can’t wear your favorite resort wear pieces! When one of your favorite brands for resort pieces teams up with a luxurious hotel, Dream Hotel – you know the pieces are going to be so good. This kaftan dress is one of those dresses you can get away with wearing year round, yes, even in the fall! The tropical print and flowy style, mixed with the rich colors and length of the maxi makes it appropriate to wear at any time and in any weather. You could wear this dress to dinner on the beach, your friends wedding, date night or even girls night out![...]
When we first moved into our house – it was new construction from another couple who had built it and then didn’t end up moving to Florida – thankfully for us. So when we purchased it, maintenance wise the house was in great condition (brand new) and under warranty. That being said, it had no personality, customization and didn’t quite feel like a ‘home’ yet, especially our backyard.[...]
This post is sponsored by Dr. Brown’s. Thank you for supporting the brands that I love! As always – all opinions are my own.
If you follow me on instagram and happen to watch my stories from time to time there are two things that I am extremely open about and am a full believer in. That is breast milk and Dr. Browns bottles. We have been customers of Dr. Brown’s for over 5 years now. As a hairstylist – I had the opportunity to ask mom’s (my clients) questions about motherhood, advice, and recommendations while I was pregnant with Braydon. One of the most recommended bottle brand was Dr. Brown’s. We decided to register for them for our baby shower and have been hooked ever since. Five and a half years later and three kiddos later, we are still using them.[...]
