Lipstick Heels and a Baby

What to Wear to Food Film Festival

in Style on 15/04/16

My two favorite things to do, other than spending time with my family are eating and mingling. I am very social and love to meet new people and chat with friends. Where we live, there is literally something going on every weekend. Whether it is movies on the lawn, farmers markets or festivals – we are never at a lack of something to do. When I heard the Food Film Festival was making its appearance to 30a I knew I had to check it out.

What is the Food Film Festival South Walton?

Experience food like never before…Created by Emmy award-winning filmmaker George Motz, the Food Film Festival™ breaks new ground in food experiences, allowing attendees to screen the best of today’s food documentaries while tasting the tempting dishes they encounter onscreen. For the festival’s inaugural venture in Florida, The Local Palate magazine has collaborated to bring favorite Southern personalities to South Walton for an unprecedented weekend of all-star dining. For more information go here.

I had two major decisions to make this weekend. What to wear and what food vender to try first. Tough decisions to make huh? Since we all know I went to the bar first – and then the amazing filet from Seagar, we will talk about my outfit choice. I am not going to lie – my shoes were absolutely impractical for this event – and I was completely aware, but didn’t care one bit. I bought these shoes a week or two ago at the Destin Commons and have been obsessed every since so decided to wear them anyways. From there – I decided to keep my outfit very sleek and simple since my accessories were going to make such a statement.
I designed my dress on one of my favorite websites that literally gives you the ability to be your own designer. I went with a shorter above the knee skirt since it was warmer out and because I love a little flirty flare. Since my skirt was shorter and I knew it would get a little chilly once the sun went down, I decided to keep the top conservative with a high neck. Make sure to go design your own dress too!

Nothing beats a little black dress! Love how you used the shoes and bag for a pop of color 🙂
